Trust!

Just out of curiosity, I would like to throw this out to you bloggie friends.

Other than our families, and God.....who do you trust?

WHY?

Have you ever trusted someone and found out you were just stupid? Did your desire to do the right thing override your brain?

Were you burned? Did you trust again?

How long did it take?

Did anyone suffer, that needed your help, because someone else caused you not to trust?

Think hard, dig deep.

I am not asking for details, generalities will do just fine. Also your thoughts on the questions would be a good place to start. If you don't feel comfortable leaving those comments here. My e-mail is open to anyone.

This is a tough one. I tend to trust too easily and quickly and that can be a potential problem. I have to tell myself to step back and look at the whole picture and not leap in when I'm first inclined. I like to see the best in people, a trait my hubby admires but also sees the possibility of being taken advantage of. Funny you should ask this question, we just had this discussion last night! :o)

Hi Michele,

Hmm, thought provoking question. I tend to trust people, but have also been burned. I do have a few close friends I trust implicitly. The worst thing would be not being able to trust family members. That happened to a friend of mine, and she was heartbroken.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. And hey, this winter, when we have snow on the ground, I might just trade you places for a day or two! You can watch some deer and I can loll on your beautiful beaches. :-)

Take care!

OOps, sorry for the spelling mistake on your name, Michelle. I do have a bloggie friend who spells it with one l, and am used to spelling it that way. Sorry again!

I once told a close friend of mine I was leaving the hate-filled graduate program I was in after I finsihed the M.A. You see, they hated my mentor, and drove her out of the department, and took their anger out on me for two years while I also put up with the sickness and anger of my older brother. She leaked the news, and I almost didn't finish my M.A. because their was such a backlash against me. I forgive her, but I feel sad for her because her need to gossip for attention nearly cost me my career and we are NO LONGER friends of any sort.

Feels good to vent about her--she had a bad haircut too, does that seem bitter--oh well, sorry, I do the best I can.

Love,
D
