Our New President Elect

Sorry guys.

I know I have to post about Obama, but I have to think this one out for a while.

Bear with me.

You know, I didn't vote for him. And I know that if he royally messes things up, we have the interim elections.

I don't care if he is black, or yellow, or purple.

His socialistic views bother me.

I am a true conservative and a true capitalist.

The good news is............As a single mother of two....with no child support..MAYBE Obama will make my life perfect................

BUT.........

Somehow I think I can do that better on my own.

Thanks Obama, but no thanks.

We'll see how it goes.

And for all of you out there that tell me I have to respect the office? When you quit calling Bush a monkey, and stupid.........THEN talk to me.

I am keeping my fingers crossed. I, too, am a conservative and am concerned. I am praying and trying not to worry too much.

Let's hope for the best, okay?

I agree with you. Although I realize that the office must be respected (and I will do that) I am scared to death of what could happen to our country in 4 years, with no checks, balances, or safeguards!

In the year 2000, former Ambassador to the UN (and Presidential candidate), Alan Keyes, stated all of the reasons which lead him to believe that "America is ripe for a takeover". Because I knew his statements to be true, his conclusion made sense to me. Therefore, what is even more frightening than President elect, Obama, is the fact that so many American voters see no problem with the Marxists, Socialists, Communists, terrorists and criminals with whom he has aligned himself throughout many years. The concern here is that these are the very people who played a part in influencing and forming his political views.

Everyone who touches our lives is part of what molds the persons we become, and in Barack Obama's case some of the above mentioned (by his own admission, which he denied after public discovery) "were mentors and advisors".

Another major concern is that the only two plans, which he actually detailed for us, are both recognized as being Socialism (Redistribution of Wealth, and a costly, and shown to be failed in other countries, Socialized Medicine program.)

The concern about Socialism, is the degree in which our country has gone into it. The further one gets into Socialism, the closer we get into crossing the line into Communism (complete government control of our money, our property, our businesses, our children, and everything concerning our own lives).

The final concern is that many people under 40 don't even know what Socialism or Communism is, and therefore can't be concerned over that which they know nothing. How do we stop something if we don't even recognize it?
